Wholly Veggie - Super Greens Burgers

I've been on this kick of adding veggie burgers to breakfast sammies lately, trying to find the perfect patty for my breakfast sandwich. This lead me to Wholly Veggie's Super Greens Burgers. I've tried other Wholly Veggie products in the past with success, so I was pretty excited to give these a go.

What I liked right off the bat was the ingredients list. Green peas, broccoli, spinach, green beans, and onions were in the top two rows and the ingredients list as a whole was minimal with ingredients I actually recognized. Bonus points for all of the veggies being at the top of the ingredients list, meaning they were the most bountiful in the patties. It was time to get my breakfast sammies going so I ripped open the box and snatched a patty out.
On first glance, they were kind of thin, but as an addition to my breakfast sandwich, they were just the right size. They were a pale green colour and looked a little frosty if I'm being honest, but I was still excited to try them. I heated up some oil in a non-stick skillet and got to frying them. I fried them until golden brown on both sides which also brought out more of that gorgeous green colour. Once they were fried up, I melted some cheddar on them and assembled my breakfast sammie.

What I'll say is I really appreciated the flavour of the patties themselves. Despite being up against melty cheese, salsa, egg, hashbrown, and pickled peppers, I could really taste the patty. It had a vegetal quality that I found quite delicious and it reinforced the use of vegetables in the patties.

B U Y ! - I would 100% recommend these patties and would buy them again in a heart beat. I loved the ingredients list, I loved the flavour of the patties themselves, and I loved the quality of the ingredients. They cooked up nicely and added a wonderful flavour / texture to my breakfast sandwich.

I ended up using them again for a baguette with some pesto, melty cheese, and smashed avo, and they once again were absolutely delicious. As I said, these are definitely a buy.

One thing I'd say however, is that they're quite thin. Knowing this, if you plan to enjoy them as burgers, make sure to buy buns that will accommodate a thinner patty so you don't leave yourself with a bread-forward experience.
