2 Berry Products You Should Know About

I'm always on the hunt for products that I can add into my daily routine to give myself some additional nutrients, antioxidants, and other health benefits. I am a big supporter of freeze dried powders because they can be easily added into smoothies, teas, yogurts, oatmeals, and cereals. Essentially, anything I can add into my routine without needing to go the extra mile is a benefit in my opinion.

I recently ordered some new products from Healthy Planet Canada and I wanted to tell you guys about them and their benefits so that you too may consider adding them into your routines. Let's take a look at two of the freeze dried powders I recently ordered and what they can do for our overall health!
CAMU CAMU BERRY POWDER
  • Extremely High Vitamin C - There is up to 750% of your daily recommended daily intake of vitamin C in just a teaspoon and a half of the powder. Vitamin C is one of the most important vitamins for our body. Responsible for boosting the strength of our immune systems, vitamin C also helps to boost collagen production, protect against free radicals in our systems, and prevent oxidative stress which can lead to various cancers.

  • High Amounts of Antioxidants - Camu Camu berries have a high concentration of body benefitting antioxidants outside of just vitamin C. These antioxidants work with your body to control free radicals which as mentioned, can lead to oxidative stress which contributes to conditions like heart disease and cancer.
  • Anti-Inflammatory - Although more studies are needed to solidify these statistics, camu camu berry seeds contain anti-inflammatory properties and were found to reduce the oxidative stress in smokers versus taking vitamin C tablets of the same dose.
  • OTHER - Camu Camu Berry Powder has been studied for its ability to help burn additional calories and increase healthy gut bacteria. It has also been studied for its ability to reduce blood pressure, provide antimicrobial properties, and stabilize blood sugars after a carb-heavy meal.

AMLA BERRY POWDER
  • Antioxidants - Amla Berry Powder is full of antioxidants that promote overall health by targeting free radicals that lead to conditions like cancer and heart disease.
  • High Fiber - Fiber is crucial to our digestive health and amla berry powder contains high amounts of fiber. A simple teaspoon and a half provides you with 7% of your daily fiber intake helping to prevent constipation and keep you regular.
  • Glowing Skin - Amla berry powder can be mixed into all natural face masks that will keep your skin hydrated and glowing.
  • Anti-Aging Properties - Amla Berry Powder has been studied for its anti-aging properties. Tying into my last point, amla berry powder is great for our skin, hair, and nails!
In combination with other healthy habits, these freeze dried berry powders can help promote our bodies' overall health by boosting our vitamin and antioxidant intake, fighting free radicals and preventing oxidative stress, and helping to prevent conditions like cancer. Unlike man made pills and tinctures, these all natural products are much safer to consume without many of the potential side effects that come along with man made supplements.
