No matter how prepared for something you are, do you find yourself scrambling to get it together when the time comes around? I've been dwelling on my last attempt in Ireland and I can't help but think about how prepared I felt that time and where I ended up. I was repeatedly told how prepared I was and yet I wound up on a plane back home after 2 weeks lol. Although I know I'm also prepared this time around, I can't help but remind myself that no matter how prepared I may feel, I should always be prepared for anything that might come up.
Planning for this kind of trip is a lot more in depth than planning a vacation. I'm literally trying to cover every base imaginable, the last thing I want is to have this opportunity blown because of poor planning once again. With that being said, I'm pretty confident from a financial perspective which I now know is crucial to lasting longer than two weeks. My comfort level is already higher this time around just because of my financial situation. Knowing what I know now about expenses and opportunities, I truly feel like this time around is going to monumentally successful. In the midst of ticking all of the boxes for my trip, I'm also feverishly working on my first ebook. It's a process that I have to be diligent about because I really want to not only have this book available by July, but I want it to be exactly what I'd hoped right down to content and style. I'm working on this book every day in between working both jobs and planning for my sister and nephews to be moving in with us temporarily. There's going to be a lot of excitement around here in the coming months that's for sure. 3 months and counting! HAPPY VEG

It's officially official, I fly out to Dublin September 10th! I booked my flight yesterday and although I payed a few hundred more than I did the first time around, I still couldn't be any more excited to head back to Dublin and make this year the very best!
I've been in touch with a recruiting agency and am hopeful that they will be able to find me something in the hospitality industry. I've also reached out to other expats about finding work, finding a place, and other general questions. I refuse to be caught off guard this time and want to make sure I know everything there is to know so that I can make this as fluid and enjoyable as possible. I felt so prepared last time and was crushed when I discovered I was nowhere near as prepared as I'd originally thought. Returning home so soon after arriving in Dublin was heartbreaking, but I certainly learned some valuable lessons from that experience that I will apply to my return. It was a major learning experience and one that I wouldn't trade because it set me up for what to expect this second time around. Without that experience, I'd be walking into this again feeling like I was on top of the world only to discover I hadn't done enough preparatory work. Anyways, so super excited to be returning to Dublin and I will keep you guys updated as things progress <3 HAPPY VEG |
