Blake Fischer forced to resign after worldwide backlash :D

This my friends is what the power of coming together and speaking out against blatant disrespect of animals can do. A few days ago, Idaho Fish and Game Commissioner Blake Fischer shared some abhorrent photos of himself with some animals he killed while on a hunting trip with his wife in Africa. We've all seen these types of photos, you know the ones where the assholes are standing behind these beautiful animals smiling away like they've accomplished some great feat while the corpse of the animal lays before them? There was however, a major problem with the photos the Mr. Fischer decided to share.

Among the photos he shared was this one to the left, smiling as he proudly shows off the entire family of baboons he killed. You see and hear that correctly, an entire family. Not only does he kill the entire family including a child, but he then decides to stage their corpses in some kind of perverted set up that really shows off their family bond. Wow, what an incredible thing to be proud of huh?

Well, immediate backlash followed and hundreds of thousands of people started sharing the photos urging him to resign from his position with the Idaho Fish and Game Commission. I too shared his photos on Twitter and also contacted the Idaho Fish and Game Commission to plead with them to let him go over his decision not only to hunt an entire family of baboons, but an  endangered giraffe and leopard among others. He claimed he did so ethically but c'mon, we all know that's a load of shit. What's ethical exactly about killing an entire family? What a scumbag!

Needless to say, the backlash was swift and Mr. Fischer was forced to resign from his position today. If the Idaho Fish and Game Commission suggests you resign despite the fact that it's kind of a hunting protectionist group, then you know you fu<ked up. Looks good on him and I hope in the future he thinks about his actions before proudly showing off his "kills" with his perverted smile in the background.

This is definite proof that if we all come together and speak out on something, our voices can and will be heard. Together, the world was able to pressure him in to resigning after something he thought he did that was ethical. Let me remind you all, trophy hunting is not ethical unless you lack empathy or compassion. There is nothing ethical about killing animals that don't want to die, specifically those that are already endangered. Enough is enough here, we must continue to speak out on trophy hunting until we see the end of it before we unfortunately see the end of animals like giraffes, elephants, leopards, and lions.
