Colorado's Ban on Exotic Animals in Travelling Circus' Moves to the House

A bill to ban exotic animals in travelling circus' has swiftly passed senate and has now moved to the House of Representatives for a final decision. Considering the wealth of information we have on the damage done to exptic animals in travelling circus', it is my hope that we will see this ban immediately enacted.

Animals used in travelling circus' are almost always obtained in less than commendable ways. Plucked from the wild as youths, they are stripped from their parents and immediately groomed for performing. Animals in circus' are vigorously trained to perform. This training includes taunting, prodding, shocking, and beating the animals into submission so that their wild instincts are lost and they are now nothing more than shells utilized by humans for performances. These animals are stripped of every wild trait they have which does unimaginable damage to them. 

These animals are also contained to very small, cramped spaces whilst travelling from city to city. These small, dark spaces cause these animals emotional and mental stress and the forced solitude is incredibly difficult for these beautiful animals to endure. These poor animals are exploited the very minute they arrive at these circus' and will spend their entire lives miserable, stressed, and deprived of their natural instincts.

In this day and age, I feel that it goes without saying that using wild animals in circus' is cruel, exploitative, and wholly unnatural. More and more cities and countries across the globe are banning the use of wild animals in circus' and it should move through the House of Representatives without much hesitation. There is simply no justification for it any longer with the plethora of available entertainment options available to these travelling circus'. Holograms, acrobatics, performances etc., there are so many options that don't involve cruelty to animals that there is no excuse for continuing to allow animals to perform. 

I expect to report back to you guys soon with an update that Colorado has enacted the  ban which will hopefully see these animals live the remainder of their lives in sanctuaries as opposed to zoos or other entertainment establishments. It's time to stop exploiting animals for fucking entertainment, we're so much better than that. Ditch this archaic form of entertainment and stop abusing animals!
