It honestly seems like every third story is about the Trump administration being sued for their failure to protect critically endangered animals. On today's edition of Trump admin sued, they are facing lawsuits from the Center for Biological Diversity & Orca Relief Cititzens' Alliance (ORCA) for failing to act appropriately to protect West Coast Orcas after receiving nearly 36 protective measures necessary to protect Orcas. West Coast Orcas face a number of perils that have driven their numbers to only 73 after 3 of the tagged orcas were presumed dead. The three orcas had previously shown signs of malnutrition which motivated the conservation groups to put further pressure on the administration to act quickly before it was too late for orcas in this region. However, only a handful of the recommended measures were adopted to protect these orcas leading their numbers to continue to decline.
Canada took a few additional precautions when it came to protecting these orcas by issuing a no traffic zone through their habitat between June and October, labeling them sanctuary zones. Even with this, their entire habitat must be labelled a protected area which would divert traffic entirely allowing the salmon to return and the orcas to once again feed and communicate without human interruption.
Time is of the essence here and there's no time for his useless administration to wait. We're talking less than 100 of these orcas remaining, this lawsuit needs to wake them up to take immediate action before the orcas in this habitat go extinct forever. HAPPY VEG
