Here's an interesting development. Tyson Farms has recently taken a 5% stock in Vegan "Meat" company Beyond Meat. Both companies are feeling positive about this opportunity and expect to see sales growth.
Here's what fries my arse about this situation. . Tyson Farms have REPEATEDLY been exposed for poor treatment of animals. There have been several undercover investigations that have shone a light on how Tyson Farms employees treat their animals. There have been several instances of abuse, torture, and complete disrespect of the animals they are housing. This company couldn't care any less for their animals and it's despicable. I understand that both companies have their own motives for this collaboration but it doesn't sit well with me. It almost seems to me that Beyond Meat is overlooking these instances of exposed abuse and torture for profit. As a company that proudly puts out Vegan products how can they comfortably allow Tyson Farms a piece of the pie? How could they want that sort of a company to have anything to do with their own? Click the link to head to the story and give me your thoughts. Would you allow a company like Tyson Farms to get in on your Vegan establishment? I personally would not want to be associated with a group like theirs, a group that clearly cares only for profit and not a lick about the animals they torture, abuse, and slaughter. I'm sure there are other mitigating factors for this deal but at the end of the day Beyond Meat is turning a blind eye to Tyson Farms known animal abuse and if it's for profit, it's disappointing!
