Bypass or Buy - GARDEIN Supreme Plant-Based Burgers

I would like to start off by saying that I absolutely love the Gardein line. I've honestly tried most of their line of products and have yet to find something I didn't like. I'm particularly fond of the Chik'n Sliders, I can eat the entire box to myself without even batting an eye.

With that in mind, I was super excited to see that Gardein has introduced their own "meaty, beefy, plant-based" patties. Every company out there is trying to capitalize on the success of products like Beyond Meat or Impossible Foods, who have taken the market by storm with their imitation patties that look, eat, and taste like real meat. Given how much I enjoy the rest of the Gardein line, I expected to love these just as much.

What I Liked

APPEARANCE - Looked pretty similar to other products that claim to be the "meatiest, beefiest" etc. Looked and felt like real beef as far as I was concerned.
SMELL - This was important. It didn't have that synthetic beefy smell that some of these patties have. It actually smelled good while frying up.
TASTE - Love! No complaints. The burger was juicy and had a really good flavour. I also enjoyed the crispy sear I got on the patty.
PRICE - Cheaper than the leading competitors. Retailing at $5.99 Canadian, it comes in 3 - 4 dollars cheaper for 2 patties than the leading competition.

BYPASS or BUY?

BUY! - Gardein has definitely proven once again that they know plant-based products with this burger. It was juicy, smelled and tasted great, and was available at a reasonable price-point. I could see myself snatching these up over competitors like the Beyond Meat burger for a nice change.

Ultimately, if you like a good, plant-based burger that offers up some beefy realness, I suggest snatching these up and giving them a try. I'm certain you won't be disappointed.

I take my morning routine pretty seriously y'all and there's a few products I take every single day. These products help me feel my best and are all natural which is especially wonderful. Let's chat about what I'm taking every morning and why you should be too!

TURMERIC with Black Pepper

I've been taking turmeric for about 4 years now and I wouldn't go a day without it. Turmeric is full of antioxidants with amazing anti-inflammatory properties. It's important to take the pills that have black pepper added to them. Compounds in the black pepper help with the absorption of curcumin which our body's naturally struggle to absorb. I consider turmeric my miracle pill and want you guys to feel the turmeric love as well!

Spirulina Tablets

These algae pills are organic and full of body-benefitting nutrients and antioxidants. Beta-carotene, B12, protein, b2 & b3, the list is never-ending. It's 100% natural, plant-based, and better than any simulated multi-vitamin you're going to ingest. I love this brand because it's organic and cost-efficient. I don't go a day without it!

Plant-Based Collagen

Collagen building vitamins and minerals that promote the natural replenishment of collagen. I love this product and within two weeks started to notice an improvement in my skin. I wouldn't go a day without these and this brand is the only brand for me.

Vitamin D

The sunshine vitamin happens to be one of the hardest vitamins to come by naturally because it's incredibly dependent on the weather and availability of time in the sun. You can find fortified cereals that have these vitamins but I find it easiest to take my one-a-day vitamin d. Chewable and easy to work into the routine, there's no excuse to not be getting your sunshine vitamins ;)
