Beyond Burger Coming to the U.K.

Can I get a YAAAASSS for the beyond meat burger coming to the U.K.? Beyond Meat confirms that the beyond burger is heading to the U.K. this year after a successful entry into Canadian markets and a hiccup in production that saw a shortage in Canadian markets. For those of you that don't know, the popularity of the beyond burger is astronomical and was so successful in Canada that beyond meat was unable to keep up with production leaving Canadian fans of the burger travelling to the United States to get their fix.

Beyond Meat is now on top of production and heading to the U.K. where excited vegans and vegetarians have been waiting for this moment since the burger came out. Beyond burgers simulate a beefy burger in every way imaginable in that they appear like beef, fry up and smell like beef, and taste just like a juicy, beef burger leaving you questioning whether the burger is actually plant based. It gives an exceptional amount of protein without any of the cruelty to animals or environmental impact that traditional beef burgers come with.

In my experience, there are actually quite a lot of vegan and vegetarian products on shelves here in Ireland although I can't speak for the entire U.K. but a recent study suggested that 1/3 of Britons have either reduced or quit eating meat so the Beyond Burger comes at the perfect time to capitalize on this momentum. It offers even meat eaters who are environmentally conscious the peace of mind of knowing that they are getting a tasty burger without all of the damage to our environment of a traditional beef burger.
Producing plant based burgers uses a fraction of the water and reduces greenhouse gases significantly when compared to traditional, factory farmed beef burgers. The environmental benefit to eating plant based is widely recognized and I think it's safe to say that more and more people are waking up to these facts and attempting to change their eating habits to reflect this. With Global Warming being a big issue that is regularly discussed, it's obvious that it is getting through to people as they turn to plant based proteins to contribute to greenhouse reductions.

Beyond Burgers are delicious y'all. If you haven't tried one, you need to. I shared one with my meat eating father and a couple of my meat eating friends and they all agreed that the burgers were delicious. As I said, they're ridiculously juicy and give you the same satisfaction of eating a beef burger without contributing to an industry that is cruel to animals and destroys the environment. I am so excited at this expansion into U.K. markets and hope to see Beyond products on shelves across the globe. :)

Beyond Burger vs The Impossible Burger

Veggie cuisine is evolving everyday with new and exciting products hitting the shelves that mimic meat as closely as they've ever come before. The market is growing and with it comes new challenges to release products that satisfy this growing demand and give you the same satisfaction you had when you were a carnivore without any of the flesh or cruelty involved. That's why products like the Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat burger are so exciting!

I remember when I first had the opportunity to sink my teeth into a Beyond Meat burger. It took me back to my childhood, eating hand made burgers made by my parents, fried or fresh off the barbecue, there was nothing like it I had ever tried before. At that point, I hadn't eaten meat in 16 years but I lived with meat eaters so the smell of cooking meat was still very familiar to me despite not having eaten it in so long.

Smelling the beyond meat burger cooking literally made me question everything I knew about veggie products. It smelled just like beef sizzling in a hot pan, it was absolutely crazy and also quite interesting to me because it made me wonder how a veggie product could mimic that smell so perfectly. The Beyond burger is absolutely delicious and it certainly recreates that same sensation I had when I was a meat eater. Living in Ireland is brutal because of all the veggie burgers I've tried here, absolutely nothing comes close to the Beyond burger and its ability to taste and smell just like eating a juicy, beefy burger.

The Impossible burger is not one I've tried yet but it is widely used across the United States and recent news suggests it too will be available on shelves in 2019 directly competing with the Beyond burger.

Both burgers have quite an extensive following and are regarded as being the best tasting and bearing the closest resemblance to meat available. My question is, which of the two is better? Which of these two delicious burgers do people truly like better? For this, I went online and started looking at comparison videos which was so much fun. The general consensus was that both burgers were delicious but there were definite differences between them and in my opinion, there seems to be a divide between which of the two is truly the best.
Below are some comparison clips from youtube which you guys should check out. They're fun to watch and also give pretty good insight into what people like about each one, their differences, and what makes each burger unique.
