BYPASS or BUY - Lightlife Tenders

​These tenders are the second product from Lightlife I'm dipping into, the first being the bacon that I was iffy about. With that being said, Lightlife has quite an extensive line of plant based meats so it's important for me to try them all to get a real feel for this company. I say this all the time but one less than stellar product might be just that, the rest of the line could be amazing which is why I needed to try something else.

​I was craving a salad and decided to snatch up a package of these tenders for some welcome protein. Looking at them out of the package, I actually thought they looked a lot like grilled chicken tenders as far as I could remember. All it took was some oil in a pan and a couple minutes on each side to warm them up. 

What did I think?

Flavour wise, they were super tasty. I liked the texture of the tenders as well and they were the perfect meaty component to my otherwise light and refreshing salad. My only complaint would be that they got cold extremely quickly, not that this was the be all end all, but I would have preferred they stay even remotely warm throughout my eating process.

BYPASS or BUY - BUY! Although they got cold quickly, they were tasty and gave me exactly what I wanted from the. They provided some protein and a much needed meaty texture I was impressed with.
