It's time for another nutritional battle and today's competitors are fighting for the title of Healthiest Crispy Chicken Strip! Strips are great for snacking and even great for meal time which makes them great to have on hand.

Let's meet the competitors!

In the first corner we have our Veggie contestant, GARDEIN CRISPY CHIK'N STRIPS.

Our competitor is TYSON Batter Dipped Crispy Chicken Strips.

Let's find out who is number 1!

For this competition we will be dividing the serving in half to compare statistics based on 2 Strips each.

ROUND ONE - CALORIES

GARDEIN: 100 Cal
TYSON: 95 Cal

WINNER: TYSON CHICKEN STRIPS

** This is an extremely close match up as both options are fairly low in calories.

ROUND TWO - FAT

GARDEIN: 4.5g / 7% DV
TYSON: 6g / 9% DV

WINNER: GARDEIN CHIK'N

** Another tight match here but the Gardein strips inch ahead with fewer grams of fat per serving. It may seem small but should you decide to have more than 2 strips, the difference in fat between the two will become more apparent.

ROUND 3 - SATURATED FAT

GARDEIN; 0.4g / 2%
TYSON: 1.25g / 6.5%

WINNER: GARDEIN CHIK'N

** Too much saturated fat can get you in to trouble and it's obvious that the Tyson strips provide 3 times the saturated fat per serving.

ROUND 4 - CHOLESTEROL

GARDEIN: 0mg
TYSON: 10mg

WINNER: GARDEIN CHIK'N

** Too much cholesterol is a bad thing and despite low numbers on both sides there are many factors to consider. What are you pairing it with? Are you having only 1 serving? Those low numbers can add up so it's great to start from a lower amount!

ROUND 5 - PROTEIN

GARDEIN: 8g
TYSON: 4.5g

WINNER: GARDEIN CHIK'N

** There is a clear winner here and this once again proves that a vegetarian diet CAN provide as much if not more protein at the end of the day.

ROUND 5 - VITAMINS AND MINERALS

WINNER: GARDEIN CHIK'N

** Simply comparing the four available vitamin statistics provided on both products, the Gardein strips provide more iron and calcium per serving. Now, consider that only 2 strips of the GARDEIN provides you with 5 vitamins and minerals at over 10% of your daily requirement! Fix yourself a salad on the side and you've got a nutritionally dense meal!

And the winner is. . . . . . . .

GARDEIN CRISPY CHIK'N STRIPS

Both products put up a great fight folks but the Gardein Strips come out on top! Packed with vitamins and protein and low in calories, fat, and cholesterol, it's easy to see why Gardein Crispy Chik'n Strips are the winner of the title of HEALTHIEST CHICKEN STRIP.

Please come back again for our next MEAT vs NON-MEAT BATTLE.
