Pre-Made Tart Shells

In lieu of a recipe I'm going to be trying next week I wanted to share with you all something to keep in mind when shopping for tart shells!

I always tell you guys to read your labels and it is important if you want to avoid accidentally consuming meat products. In the case of frozen tarts, you want to check for the fat used in the dough. You want to see Vegetable Shortening and want to avoid Suets or Lard as these are animal fats.

Secondly, be mindful of timing. Frozen tart shells must be thawed prior to using so set aside an extra 15 minutes for your recipe!
