The Tasmanian Tiger is a tragic story, one that demonstrates a complete lack of empathy until it was far too late. In fact, this is often the human approach to animal welfare and extinction. We care when there's little to no hope of rectifying the situation, and this lackluster and poorly timed concern is the reason hundreds of thousands of species are on the verge of extinction. I had recently stumbled across an article that blasted animal activists for speaking out against trophy hunting. The African representative in the story claimed that activists don't understand the relationship with wild animals and how trophy hunting actually helps communities and conservation.
With that in mind, I decided to share with you all exactly what 30 years has done to 3 of Africa's most endangered animals. Keep in mind, these beautiful animals are still hunted for sport because apparently, this helps them. Head to the ANIMAL NEWS page.
