This article was really informative and I thought I'd share it with all of you, A lot of these tips I already use in the kitchen but I picked up as few things from this article as well.
http://www.chatelaine.com/recipes/chatelainekitchen/how-to-speed-up-dinner-prep/ I have a #11 for you all! *Chop your veggies in advance! In some cases it's a great way to save time. If you know you're making a stew than after you bring your groceries home chop up your celery and carrots and store them in the fridge until you're going to use them. Prepping veggies in advance will save you prep time when dinner time comes around! I am currently working on tweaking a new recipe to share with you guys this week!
I'll also be doing a new Meat vs Veggie battle this week so stay tuned! I had the privilege of making dough for the first time and it was so simple and turned out famously! I doubled the recipe I found to make 2 different calzone recipes. RECIPE 1 which is posted is the SPINACH PESTO CALZONE ** A nutty, garlicky spinach pesto with the addition of tomatoes, spinach, diced red onion, mozzarella cheese, and fresh parsley. SO DELICIOUS! RECIPE 2 is a delicious VEGGIE CALZONE. Fresh tomato sauce of garlic, roma tomatoes, and onion and stuffed with diced red onion and yellow bell peppers, spinach, tomatoes, and marble cheddar. This recipe will be available over the next few days so stay tuned. Happy Veg Dough recipe: http://www.ricardocuisine.com/recipes/2049-homemade-pizza-dough
If you're in the Leamington Ontario area check out my review of Family Kitchen. It was so unique in that it offered a selection of Mexican, Canadian, and Mennonite cuisines. It was an eclectic menu and definitely worth a visit !
Check out my other reviews as well :) |
