Skillet Lasagna Rollups

Anything having to do with lasagna is a commitment, a labour of love if you will. I love a tradish lasagna but I also love lasagna rollups. They are part of my childhood and were one of our favourite dishes my mother made growing up. I still remember how excited we would all get when the trays of shells came out to the table. So nostalgic <3

We've got my fav tomato sauce recipe, a garlicky, lemony ricotta filling, and loads of melty cheese to keep everything together. They're gorgeous, delicious, and although time consuming, worth every single minute of effort.

Turkey - New Animal Welfare Laws (Hopefully) On The Way

A string of incidents involving stray animals has sparked outrage throughout Turkey, prompting the government to eye a new animal welfare bill that would see dogs / cats more heavily protected. WEEKEND BRUNCH VIBES

Ok so how have I not had a breakfast poutine before? It's an actual dream come true for my belly and will be for y'all as well!

Crispy, roasted taters and squeaky cheese curds smothered in a scratch made mushroom gravy and topped with a beautifully fried egg. There is nothing better than popping that yolk and watching that liquid goodness cascade down over your smothered potatoes. It's delicious, hearty AF, and quite simple to put together.

Northern Ireland Looks to Export Poo To Protect their Environment

Northern Ireland may need to export a whopping 35% of their animal waste as their pig / chicken agriculture industry booms. Does this not indicate that Northern Ireland is unsustainably producing livestock? Exporting the poo does nothing to address the fact that Northern Ireland is producing an alarming level of animals that are destroying their waterways and land. When will we accept that animal agriculture is destroying our environment and stop looking at quick solutions that don't address the long-term problems?

Spicy Butter Potatoes & Peas

Weeknight meals should be easy peasy but still pack a punch and that's why I love the Palak's line of sauces. Each sauce is packed with traditional Indian flavours and takes the work out of dinner.

I whipped up a delicious dish of Spicy Butter Potatoes with Green Peas and served it up over some wild rice. Potatoes are simmered in the Palak's Spicy Butter Chicken Sauce (obviously Vegetarian) with spinach and green peas until tender. I love this dish and you guys will too. Head to the RECIPES page!

Our relationship with the planet and other species that inhabit it is warped and one sided. Our sense of entitlement motivates us to take whatever we can at any cost. Is it too late to stop the decimation of our planet? Will our continued yearning for more be what forces the extinction of so many recognizable species?

Leek & Asparagus Risotto

Happy Monday Everyone!

It's the start of a brand new week which means we want new recipes, right y'all? Here's an easy weeknight side that can easily be a main dish with the addition of some protein on the side. My Leek & Asparagus Risotto is spring / summer vibes and comes together quite easily.

We've got Arborio rice of course, cooked in a mixture of white wine and PC Brand Plant-Based Chik'n broth along with sweet and delicious leeks, asparagus, green onion, and lots of fresh herbs. Finished with grana padano to bring it all home, it's a deliciously creamy risotto that packs a flavourful & fresh punch.

Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole

New favourite side dish alert y'all!

I'm always looking for something super easy and super delish to serve up along side some delicious plant based meats. Those of you who follow me here know, I love me some cheesy sides. I didn't want to go with a tradish mac and cheese so I utilized a head of cauliflower in my fridge and whipped up this beauty.

Tender cauliflower baked in a creamy, cheesy sauce until bubbly, beautifully golden, and crusty on top. It's delicious, rich and wonderful, and begging to be served up alongside a delicious salad and protein.

Maine Becomes 6th State to Ban Cosmetics tested on Animals
