It's obvious now more than ever that the meat industry is aware of the exponential growth of plant-based products and are feeling the effects of this. Both Estonia and Poland have taken steps towards ending fur-farming once and for all. This is monumental as Poland is the third largest producer of fur in the world. Ending their participation in this abhorrently cruel industry would undoubtedly be a hit to the industry and would send the clear message that fur is on the way out. Only a few short days after it was confirmed, a lion hunt scheduled to take place around Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe has officially been cancelled thanks to world wide outrage and pressure from activists to end this horrific attack on vulnerable lions. Jimba Safaris is organizing a scheduled lion hunt for sometime in November on the outskirts of Hwange National Park, a refuge for lions. A hunter in Michigan was convicted of various poaching crimes and was handed a 90 day jail sentence, 32, 000 dollars in fines, and a lifetime ban on hunting. Vermont is set to become the 12th US state to ban the trade of wildlife parts from 15 of the world's most imperiled endangered animals. This is amazing news but also an indication that there are still so many states and countries around the world that still need to step up and do their part to conserve thee beautiful animals. Time is of the essence when we're discussing extinction and we need more action across the board.

They have been aware of the perils giraffes face now for over 3 years and have neglected to do anything about it. Giraffes are in dire need of ESA protections which would allocate resources and fund to giraffe conservation. Without it, giraffes will undoubtedly go extinct due to our inaction.
