I stumbled across this article this morning and felt like I should share it with all of you. The Holidays are notorious for being bad for our waistlines and this is because we let go of our inhibitions and enjoy all of the sweet treats layed out before us. Growing up. my mother spent weeks leading up to Christmas preparing baked goods, cookies, tarts, and chocolatey treats for us to dig in to. Harmless as they may seem, the culmination of goodies is definitely not good for our health!
What items found themselves on the list?
I think the moral of the story this Holiday season is to be mindful of how much of the good stuff you consume. I am a firm believer of enjoying naughty things in moderation and you can bet your arse I'll be having a slice of cheesecake or two this holiday, but it's important to make a conscious effort to omit some of the sugary treats associated with this time of year. Avoiding a lot of these treats will definitely help your waistline over the holidays and leave more room for that fabulous Christmas dinner! Make sure to follow the link at the top of the page to find out exactly what was on the list of things to avoid this season! HAPPY VEG
