The World Health Organization has now placed processed meats in the same danger category as smoking in relation to cancer risk. Is this surprising? Want to know my opinion? There's a moral to this story and I don't even need to get all preachy about vegetarian / vegan diets, eating healthy, or exercising. READ YOUR INGREDIENTS! When you are shopping, it can be a hassle to read your labels but it is crucial to really getting the best version of the product you are purchasing. Ingredients are posted on almost every product available and it is important to be aware of what's in your food.
When it comes to processed foods, the problem is the massive amount of additives, preservatives and extras that are used to manipulate and process the original product. What's the moral? If your ingredients list is 25 items long and it's supposed to "Beans" in the can, that's usually a problem. If you can't pronounce several of the ingredients on the list, that may also be a problem. (Think Titanium Dioxide, like no thanks!) Look for the purest form of everything you eat, fresh is best! Steer clear of anything that's heavily processed and also use Google! Google some of those big words and educate yourself on what you eat! HAPPY VEG
