This idea came to me simply for my love of tomato sauce. A lot of the time when I make a sauce, I find myself eating it with a spoon. I just love it! Not to mention cooked Tomatoes provide Lycopine which is an essential nutrient in our diets so the more cooked tomatoes you eat, the better!
This recipe is not so much a recipe as it is an idea. Putting out some great bread and a delicious sauce is a great way to get everyone gathered around for dipping fun. Any crusty loaf will do but I find Ciabatta is the perfect dipping bread as the pillowy inside sops up the sauce quite nicely while the crispy, crusty outer part of the bread is strong enough to hold up to the sauce.
